my photographs are described as emotive, deep, honest, real, authentic, intimate, expressive, and though i don't much care for the word - soulful. while there's no question that powerful images typically reveal an inner essence it's fairly presumptuous of anyone to think they've caught it.

do i believe in the presence of that loveliness within? absolutely.
& do i do everything i can to create an atmosphere that allows for an inner expression to surface? yes i do.

the place i begin from is one of trust and a deep belief in taking time to form a connection with those I photograph. and while i reside north of boston in salem, ma, i have clients in the surrounding areas of marblehead, swampscott and peabody and others in boston, medford, south boston, sommerville and newtown. i've also documented children & families in southern maine & new hampshire, florida, kentucky, new jersey, ohio, oklahoma city, pennsylvania and seattle.

i believe in the importance of documentary photography ... for parents, for couples, people.
