Ethan & Katelyn
This surprise engagement began on hearing from Ethan and learning he and Katelyn were coming to visit from my once home of sever years - Oklahoma City! I provided a preview of locations for Ethan to choose from - he selected the Ropes Mansion for the proposal and a walk to Derby Wharf which would cover a good number of landmarks. As a late April ‘clear as a bell day’, we arranged for a later in the day session. I arrived a little early and as the landscaping team was busy readying beds for spring/summer, I let them know what was afoot. The couple arrived and Ethan walked to the area we’d agreed on … bent down on one knee … and DROPPED THE RING! The emotions here were so cute and the cheers and applause (and laughter) from the landscapers just added that extra bit of joyfulness. From there we walked and took portraits and a few exchanges with locals. Pictures were presented in a mini artist book.
